About Princeton
Small town living on the doorstep of the Okanagan and Lower Mainland. Princeton, BC is located at the juncture of the Tulameen and Similkameen rivers approximately 1 ½ hours from Kelowna, Penticton and Kamloops, and about 2 ½ hours from Vancouver. This beautiful community offers a pool, ice rink, baseball fields, cross country ski trails, tennis courts, mountain bike trails, a Jr. B hockey team, and several great restaurants with a variety of foods. Princeton Lumber is one of the largest employers in the community and has been in operation more than 50 years.

We are seeking a full-time permanent Red Seal Millwright. This position is responsible for supporting and safely executing the millwright activities for our lumber manufacturing facility. The starting rate for a red seal journeyperson millwright is $48.895.

• Red Seal Certified Journeyperson Millwright
• Experience in a sawmill environment is a strong asset
• Consistently has demonstrated leadership in mill safety processes and a commitment to safety as a priority
• Ability to effectively team with others in a rapid pace work environment
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Natural self-starter with well-developed planning and organizational abilities
• Desire and ability to see problems through from identification to completion
• Moderate computer skills, experience with SAP an asset
• Willing to work weekly alternate shift schedules – note this is not ‘camp work'
• Offers of employment will be conditional upon satisfactory completion of substance testing, background check, fitness for work testing, and agreement with general terms of employment.
