Qualifications

Job Opportunities

Reporting to the Public Works Foreman, the Journeyman Mechanic is responsible for maintenance and repairs of the Town of High Level fleet and equipment, including that of the Fire Department and Airport. The Journeyman Mechanic is also responsible for ensuring accurate maintenance and servicing records are inventoried and completed for all fleet and equipment.

The Employee may be required on an ongoing basis to attend applicable training, workshops, seminars and courses at the discretion of the Employer to facilitate job knowledge and performance.

Minimum Requirements

• Completion of Grade 12 Diploma.
• Valid Alberta Driver’s Licence.
• Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council Inspection Technician Licence (CVIP).
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Clean Criminal Record check (to be supplied by the applicant).
• Experience in a similar capacity.
