Job summary

Dura-Line is hiring a Journeyman Maintenance Electrician for Gravenhurst, Canada. You will support day shift operations in a 24/7 manufacturing setting, reporting to the Maintenance Manager and assisting the Production Supervisor with maintenance matters.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and electrical equipment, following lockout/tagout procedures and electrical codes. Overtime and on-call rotation are required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician Certification required.
• Familiarity with electrical schematics, prints and the Electrical Code.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults on motors, VFDs, control circuits, sensors, and motor starters.
• Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, including valves, solenoids, and sensors.
• Maintain and troubleshoot vacuum systems, including pumps, controls, sensors, and associated electrical equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot water pumps and water circulation systems.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on electrical and industrial equipment.
• Test and troubleshoot three-phase motors, contactors, overloads, and motor control circuits.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery, sensors, limit switches, proximity sensors, and control devices.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Use electrical test equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation resistance testers.
• Perform electrical installations, modifications, and repairs as required.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and document work performed.
• Inspect electrical equipment for potential safety hazards, wear, or failure.
• Work with production and maintenance personnel to identify and resolve issues.
