Job summary

Golderado Contracting Corporation seeks a Foreman/Forewoman Journeyman Carpenter to lead on-site carpentry crews, coordinate daily tasks, and ensure safety, quality, and schedules on projects across Canada, primarily in Alberta and BC. You will mentor apprentices and journeymen while performing skilled carpentry work and interpreting drawings.

Required are a Journeyman Carpenter Certificate (Red Seal preferred), 2–5 years in commercial/industrial/residential construction with lead

Qualifications

• Journeyman Carpenter Certificate or equivalent required.
• CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 required.
• Fall Protection & Rescue, Aerial Platform, Confined Spaces, Rigging/Hoisting and Hand.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Responsibilities

• Direct, mentor, and supervise apprentice and journeyman carpenters and general laborers.
• Perform skilled rough and finish carpentry, wood framing, exterior/interior finishing, and concrete formwork.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
• Ensure adherence to Alberta Building Code and conduct hazard assessments and safety meetings.
• Track project schedules, review subcontractor work, and communicate updates with Site Superintendents.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
