Job summary

Bwalk in Calgary is seeking a permanent, full-time HVAC Technician to maintain and service furnaces and associated equipment across residential and commercial settings.

You will perform repairs, installations, and troubleshooting on heat pumps and refrigeration systems, while ensuring accurate documentation, safety, and customer service. A valid license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Certificate as an HVAC Technician; Red Seal is an asset.
• Able to work on units up to 5 tons.
• 3 to 5 years residential/commercial experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper maintenance and service furnaces
• Repair/replace furnaces as required
• Exhaust fan repair and service
• New capital refrigeration installations
• Maintain service on MUA, rooftop and refrigeration units
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on HVAC control systems

Job description

This is a permanent, full-time role with guaranteed 40 hours per week and great benefits including extended health & dental, group RRSP matching, profit sharing, and many more!

Responsibilities:

• Ensure proper maintenance and service furnaces
• Repair/replace furnaces as required
• Exhaust fan repair and service
• New capital refrigeration installations
• Ensure proper maintenance and service on MUA, rooftop and refrigeration units
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on HVAC control systems
• Maintain proper records of inspections
• Complete all required paperwork and other tasks as assigned

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• Valid Journeyman Certificate as an HVAC Technician, Red Seal is an asset
• Able to work on units up and above 5 tons
• 3 to 5 years residential / commercial experience required

Technical Requirements:

• Experience installing and doing service work and troubleshooting on heat pumps
• Previous experience doing inspections on heating and domestic hot water boilers
• Working knowledge of English language both verbal and written
• Familiarity with computer tablets is an asset

Non-Technical Requirements:

• Ability to spend up to eight hours walking, standing, climbing stairs, lifting
• Ability to maneuver up to 90kg with the proper equipment
• Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Ability to take responsibility for all actions and decisions and to follow through until a resolution is obtained
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• Excellent time-management skills
• Ability to work independently (self-managed) and with other Associates in a team environment
