What You'll Be Doing
As our HVAC Journeyman Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things cooling. Here’s what you’ll tackle:
- Braze Cooling Lines: Put your skills to work creating airtight, high-quality connections.
- Install Compressors: Ensure seamless integration of cooling components into freeze-drying systems.
- Insulate Products: Keep systems efficient by expertly insulating cooling lines and components.
- Charge Systems: Properly charge systems to ensure optimal cooling levels and performance.
- Manage Freon & Cooling Challenges: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve cooling system issues with skill and precision.
- Assemble Equipment: Support the team and help assemble machines as required
Qualifications
- Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident: Eligibility to work in Canada is a must.
- Journeyman HVAC Technician Certification: Fully licensed and ready to bring your expertise to the team.
- Experience with Cooling Systems: At least 3 years of experience managing cooling systems, Freon handling, and HVAC troubleshooting.
- Ability to Braze Cooling Lines: Precision and proficiency in brazing are required.
- Knowledge of System Charging: Familiarity with charging systems and using tools like recovery machines, vacuum pumps, and digital manifold gauges is required.
- Certifications: Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) certification is required. First Aid and WHMIS certifications are considered assets.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
- Problem-Solving Expertise: Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to resolve cooling challenges effectively and efficiently.
- Environmental Compliance: Adherence to environmental regulations and best practices for Freon management and system maintenance is essential.
- Criminal Records Check: Must pass a valid criminal records check.
- Professionalism: Conduct oneself with the utmost care, focus, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
- English Language Proficiency: Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
