The Opportunity

The Journeyman Tradesman performs general departmental functions such as changing light bulbs, maintaining exterior lighting and playground equipment, mechanical repairs, welding, and carpentry. This is a casual relief position.

Hours of Work

Casual relief shifts, as needed.

Your Qualifications

• Minimum grade 12 or GED.
• Accreditation in at least one trade is preferred.
• Two years’ experience in a similar position is an asset.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Ability to react effectively to emergencies or work environment changes.
• Ability to follow instructions and work processes.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and welding trades.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.
• Knowledge of other languages is an asset.
