Journeyman Truck/Transport Mechanic - starting wage $45.26/hour, based on 40 hours per week
Journeyman Trailer Mechanic - starting wage $36.22/hour, based on 40 hours per week
Shift premium $2.00 for weekends
Shift premium $2.00 for afternoon shift
Shift premium $2.50 graveyard
Shift premium $2.00 for lead hands
$1.50 for CVI ticket
$0.75 for B620 tank experience
Rotating shift: 8 or 10-hour shifts available
Tuesday to Saturday 8, Wednesday to Saturday 10, Sunday to Thursday 8, Sunday to Wednesday 10
(Different shift options available to accommodate if necessary)
Performs trailer repair - preventative maintenance, electrical work, brakes, and suspension
Performs tractor repair - preventative maintenance, electrical work, brakes, suspension, engine diagnostics, general running repairs; PTO
Owns basic tools required for the position
Maintain fleet equipment professionally
Follow policies & procedures
Work safely, using directed PPE
Complete tasks in a timely manner as per the Standard Repair Time Guidelines
Drive and shunt equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers as needed
Red Seal certification is an asset
CVIP Certification is an asset
Two years verifiable mechanic experience
Operation of hand and air tools
Must meet physical requirements and have mobility, vision, hearing, sense of smell, and dexterity appropriate to duties
Ability to stand, walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend, crawl, grasp, drag, lift, and carry items up to 50 lbs
Willingness and ability to work at heights up to 15 feet
Grade 12 or equivalent
