A leading company in wind services is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for a full-time position. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wind turbines, ensuring exceptional safety and quality standards. This role requires a Red Seal certificate and strong communication skills, along with the ability to work in various conditions.
Journeyman Electrician- WIND Turbine Services
Apave Canada has an immediate, full-time position available for Wind Service/Composite Technician within our Wind Services Department.

Apave Canada has been serving the oil and gas, petroleum and petrochemical, chemical, power generation, pipeline and potash industries since 1953.
Our Canadian operations currently provide services from Edmonton, Calgary, Cold Lake, Fort McMurray, Lloydminster, Nisku, and Red Deer. Our USA operations provide services from 23 office locations, our United Kingdom operations provide services from 7 office locations, and our Australian operations provide services from 5 locations.

Who you are:
Job Duties
• Conducting wind turbine maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair activities.
• Assisting with the setup, inspection, and maintenance of wind turbine systems and equipment.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and technical services, to
complete projects and resolve any issues.
• Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements related to wind turbine maintenance.
• Staying up to date with the latest wind turbine maintenance techniques and technology.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Red Seal Journeyman Electrician Certificate
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including at heights.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Travel (including overnight stays out of town) will be required.
• GWO certification would be an asset.
• Experience with basic electrical and mechanical repair and maintenance tasks would be an asset.
Safety Requirements:
• Steel-toe boots are required; IRISNDT will provide additional PPE.
Legal entitlement to work in Canada is mandatory.
