Journeyman Electrician (or 3rd & 4th Year Apprentice)

Description

West Fraser offers a range of exciting career opportunities for individuals seeking challenging and rewarding careers. Our Division at Manning Forest Products is currently recruiting for aJourneyperson Electrician.

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be a key player in the company-wide continuous improvement effort by using troubleshooting, predictive, and preventive maintenance strategies daily.

You'll Do:

  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Ensure consistent operations of all electrical equipment in the sawmill
  • Verify and document repairs
  • Monitor product quality and provide feedback
  • Use of RsLogix programing software (5,500,5000)
  • Preventative maintenance and small construction projects
  • Troubleshooting for various pieces of equipment, with other trades
  • Shift is 7 days on/7 days off: rotating day shift and night shift

You have:

  • Several years of experience as an Electrician
  • A valid Journeyperson Certification is required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • An understanding of Process Controls and Instrumentation, including but not limited to electric over pneumatic, or hydraulic
  • 4 th year Apprentices are encouraged to apply

Considered a strong asset:

  • Previous experience working in a sawmill or an industrial environment
