Qualifications

  • IRATA Rope Access Level 1, 2, 3 is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Read & interpret blueprints, Isometrics, and electrical schematics.
  • Install & remove heat trace according to specified standards.
  • Ensure safe work around process lines & hazardous areas.
  • Conduct QA, testing & commissioning of systems.

The Company

MSCP provides highly innovative technical and organizational solutions for Heat Management in the Energy sector. It was founded in 2011 to assist the Oil and Gas Industry but it is rapidly expanding into water treatment and renewables.

Our Heat Management System is rooted in the synchronization and coordination of a complex network of value-added activities that need to be tailored to the specific needs of increasingly quality-sensitive Clients.

The Model

In order to deliver prompt, reliable and effective services, MSCP has embraced a genuinely systemic approach to management and an organizational model that overcomes completely the conventional Hierarchical/Functional, Siloed structure. Our System is designed and operated as a Network of interdependent processes and its effectiveness is entirely predicated on its correct management.

In order to operate successfully, this model needs individuals willing to accept the professional and personal challenges of this new, NON “command and control” based paradigm.

Responsibilities

· Requires occasional overnight travel; roughly 75% (+/-) of work will be based at the shop.

· Read & interpret blueprints, Isometrics, and electrical schematics

· Install & remove heat trace in accordance with specified standards

· Ensure safe work around process lines, live systems, and hazardous areas (Class I Zone 1/2)

· Working with power and hand tools

· Electrical installs, wiring and cable pulls

· Perform insulation resistance tests (Megger) to ensure cable integrity

· Conduct loop checks and verify continuity and proper grounding

· QA, testing and commissioning of electrical and heat trace components

· Use of digital Work packages and quality documents

· Participate collaboratively in work groups

· Use of good problem-solving critical thinking and communication skills

· Adherence with safety requirements and policies, LOTO etc.

· Active participation in HSE Program

· Ability to complete extensive in-house training program

· Participate in toolbox talks and field-level hazard assessments (FLHAs)

Role Requirements

· Electrical Journeyman Certificate

· Valid driver's license - Driving record check (abstract)

· Knowledge with Thermon EHT control systems an asset

· Understanding of Thermal Insulation systems an asset
