Job summary

PTW Energy Services is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team on various construction projects in Rocky Mountain House. You will install electrical systems on industrial projects/sites and interpret drawings to ensure compliance with electrical code and safety regulations.

The role requires vigilance for safety, the ability to work with other trades, and readiness for shift work, overtime, and weekends. This position is based in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician Certificate required; Red Seal preferred.
• Minimum 2 years in industrial construction electrical work.
• Must have safety certifications (H2S Alive, Fall Protection, First Aid, CSTS 2020).
• Strong reading of blueprints and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems, equipment, and components on industrial projects/sites.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian Electrical Code, OH&S and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team on various construction projects in Rocky Mountain House. You will install electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial construction electrical work
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
• Valid driver's licence
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions

• Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate
