Job summary

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is currently hiring Journeyman Electricians for our Medicine Hat branch. Projects are located within Northern Alberta with a shift of 8 on and 6 off.

Techmation works on a variety of industrial oil and gas construction and maintenance projects throughout Western Canada. As a successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to work on full-time, long-term industrial projects with well-established and reputable clients.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician certificate required.
• Experience in Industrial Oil & Gas sector preferred.
• Valid ES Canada H2S Alive & Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020 Fundamentals certificates.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical systems on industrial oil and gas sites.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet safety and quality standards.
• Travel to assigned sites across Western Canada as required.
• Work on full-time, long-term industrial projects with reputable clients.

Requirements:

• Journeyman Electrician certificate
• Previous electrical experience working within the Industrial Oil & Gas sector would be considered an asset
• Candidates must have valid Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive & Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020 Fundamentals Certificates
• Valid Class 5 drivers license and clean driving record
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must have a flexible work schedule - shiftwork, overtime, weekends, and travel
• Ability to travel would be considered an asset
