Position: Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities:
  1. Diagnose malfunctions and perform vehicle repairs, including testing and adjusting systems such as electrical, cooling, brakes, drive trains, suspensions, and engines, in accordance with all relevant federal, state/provincial, and local guidelines.
  2. Arrange and obtain inspections and approvals for major repairs before releasing vehicles from maintenance.
  3. Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment compliant with all regulations.
  4. Identify and report additional maintenance needs and perform repairs or escalate as necessary.
  5. Accurately record time, parts used, and repairs conducted.
  6. Report unsafe conditions or vehicle abuse to the Lead Technician.
  7. Perform road calls and on-road repairs as assigned.
  8. Uphold high ethical standards and personal integrity, reporting suspicious or inappropriate behavior.
Qualifications:
  • Certified technician with a 310T or 310S license.
  • Minimum of 3 years of fleet maintenance experience with heavy-duty trucks or buses, including engine rebuilds.
  • Hands-on experience with diesel and gasoline engines in a large fleet environment.
  • Proficiency with computerized diagnostics.
  • General shop computer skills, including purchasing and budget management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Organizational skills are advantageous.
