Job summary

Faber Work in Calgary, AB is seeking Journeyman CNC Machinists with steel experience to join the shop team. You will operate a CNC lathe or CNC mill to produce custom, precise machined components, primarily servicing the oil/gas and heavy construction industries.

You will read drawings, set up machines, perform maintenance, and work with the shop team to meet safety standards and tight timelines. The role emphasizes problem solving, organization, and proactive work habits.

Qualifications

• CNC Journeyman designation required; new certified journeymen welcome to apply.
• Strong experience operating a CNC lathe and/or CNC mill (experience with both is a plus).
• Experience operating Okuma and/or Haas equipment (strong asset, not mandatory).
• Experience producing custom, low-volume machined components for oil/gas or heavy construction clients.
• Experience machining primarily with steel and other metals.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Ability to find quick solutions and implement them proactively as problems arise day-to-day.
