We are currently hiring carpenters who are highly accountable, energized and motivated. Working collaboratively as part of our project team your role will be to provide various service and support to our site-based teams at locations in Central PEI.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project specifications and requirements
• Coordinate and supervise the work of carpenters and other construction workers on the job site
• Assist and work with the on-site crew as required
• Ensure that all work is completed according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control measures
• Collaborate with the Site Supervisor, project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to address any issues or concerns that may arise during construction
• Estimate materials, labor costs, and timelines for carpentry projects
• Plan and organize work schedules to meet project deadlines
• Train and mentor junior carpenters to improve their skills and knowledge

Skills:

• Proficient in blueprint reading, construction estimating, quality control, and interpreting schematics
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and safety practices
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team of carpenters
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship
• Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues or challenges on the job site
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
