Job summary

JEN COL is seeking a Journeyman Carpenter or Apprentice to join our construction team in Canada. Under the supervision of the Superintendent and Foreman, you will build, erect, install, and repair structures using wood, wood substitutes, and light steel, ensuring safety and quality.

This role requires reading blueprints, operating carpentry tools, fabricating forms, framing walls and floors, installing doors and windows, and collaborating to maintain Lean practices and a strong Quality Control

Qualifications

• Understand and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret building specs, blueprints, and docs.
• Two years of carpenter experience in commercial/institutional construction.

Responsibilities

• Observe and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints for work planning.
• Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment.
• Layout tasks and construct foundations, walls, and ceilings.
• Frame and install doors/windows, walls, and trim.
• Check accuracy of work and adjust as required.
• Contribute to the Quality Control System.
