Job summary

Grande Prairie Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Grande Prairie, AB is seeking a Journeyman Automotive Technician to diagnose, test and repair vehicle systems, using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspect critical components, and mentor apprentices in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of various makes and models.
• Provincially recognized Journeyman Automotive Mechanic Certificate or in process.
• Red Seal Certification would be considered an asset.
• Completion of related post-secondary program or training courses.
• Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, test, and repair vehicle systems following dealership and OEM standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspect critical components (brakes, fuel systems, engines).
• Mentor apprentices and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
• Communicate with Parts and Service Advisors to manage repairs and customer communication.
• Document work on repair orders per OEM standards and warranty requirements.
• Keep an inventory of common tools and stay updated with technical bulletins.
