Capital Automotive Group is seeking a Journeyman Auto Body Technician in Calgary to perform structural, non-structural and cosmetic repairs with a focus on quality and efficiency. You will follow OEM procedures, collaborate with estimators and parts staff, and ensure vehicles are ready for the paint department.

The role requires Red Seal certification or equivalent experience, a track record in high-volume collision repair, and a strong eye for detail, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman Auto Body Technician certification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a high-volume collision repair facility or OEM certified shop.
• Deep knowledge of collision repair methods, OEM guidelines, advanced structural repair techniques, and modern repair tools.
• Strong ability to interpret complex repair plans/blueprints, with excellent time management and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Perform structural, non-structural, and cosmetic repairs, including sheet metal straightening, panel replacements, weld on replacements, bonding, riveting, and trim/glass work.
• Use OEM repair procedures and repair plans to restore vehicles to factory specifications and pre-accident condition.
• Coordinate with estimators on repair variances; liaise with parts staff to verify components; prepare vehicles for paint.
• Conduct self-directed quality checks to maintain a 'fix it right the first time' standard.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Participate in paid OEM brand certifications and upskilling.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural, non-structural, and cosmetic repairs, including sheet metal straightening, panel replacements, weld on replacements, bonding, riveting, and trim/glass work.
• Utilize OEM repair procedures, repair plans, and technical bulletins to restore vehicles to factory specifications and pre-accident condition.
• Work closely with estimators on repair variances and supplement identification, coordinate with parts staff to verify components, and prepare vehicles seamlessly for the paint department.
• Conduct self-directed quality checks throughout the repair process, maintaining a strict “fix it right the first time” standard to ensure final inspection readiness.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to all shop safety protocols, PPE requirements, and hazardous material handling rules.
• Active participation in paid OEM brand certifications and modern technical upskilling.
