RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and deliver Performing Arts programs for participants aged 3 years to adult.
  • Prepare, implement, instruct and evaluate the program.
  • Liaise with the Performing Arts Coordinator to plan yearly curriculum, learning outcomes and term-to-term objectives.
  • Develop individual class plans and provide weekly instruction for classes each term.
  • Provide a weekly report to the Performing Arts Coordinator regarding attendance and progress.
  • Ensure adherence to all safe work practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the performing arts genre.
  • An undergraduate diploma or degree in the performing arts/education is preferable.
  • Experience working as a performing arts instructor and with large groups of youth is a definite asset.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

COMPENSATION

$20.00 – $60.00 per hour based on qualifications, experience and program requirements.

HOURS OF WORK

Up to 15 hours per week including Saturday and some evenings. Hours fluctuate based on operational requirements and will be scheduled in advance where possible.

TERM
