Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent required.
  • Registration with CASLPO is mandatory.
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders in pre-school children.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient care approaches.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Inpatient Allied Team.

Employment Status: CasualHours of Work:Mondays to Saturday shifts availableLocation: Humber River HealthLabour Group: OPSEU 590Reporting Relationship: Manager, Allied Health ServicesHourly Rate: $44.67 - $57.90

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the pre-school population in the assessment and treatment of articulation, language, fluency and voice disorders.
  • Collaborating with other members of the interdisciplinary team re. patient care approaches,recommendations and discharge plans.
  • Communicating effectively with other Speech Language Pathologists as needed.
  • Ensuring a high standard of patient care in accordance with Speech Language Pathology policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with members of Toronto Speech and Language Program to provide carefor children on the waiting list.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent.
  • Registration with CASLPO.
  • Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
  • Sound professional knowledge and judgment in a clinical role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Supportive of a multidisciplinary approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
