Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Project Manager, Facilities Planning to join the Facility Functional Planning team at Vancouver General Hospital. Apply today to become part of our team!

As a Project Manager, Facilities Planning with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will:

  • Oversee and support the planning, design, and implementation of mid-range facilities projects across VCH, including project planning, management, communications, and contract oversight.
  • Lead assigned staff and coordinate work with contractors and consultants on a project-by-project basis.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five to seven years of recent experience managing facilities projects in a complex institutional environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Knowledge of capital project planning, design, construction, and procurement processes within current standards, codes, bylaws, and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple planning, design, and construction projects effectively.
  • Leadership skills to supervise and motivate team members, fostering a respectful environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills to prioritize and implement projects efficiently.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency with related software applications.
  • Physical capability to perform the duties of the role.
