Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a part-time Family Physician for Purdy Pavilion Long Term Care located adjacent to Koerner Acute Care Pavilion on the University of BC campus. Purdy is owned and operated by Vancouver Coastal Health. It has 170 residents and 4 physicians, in addition to a robust multidisciplinary team. Purdy is a teaching facility, with participation of trainees from all disciplines.
Reporting to the site's Medical Coordinator, the physician who accepts this position will play a critical role in supporting the primary care needs of residents and in the development of an inter-professional shared care team. They will work within a self-directed team of physicians and other inter-professional colleagues to achieve excellence in client-centred care.
Physician will be expected to share in 24/7 on-call in a shared call group with Banfield Residential Care physicians. The group is made up of a total of 8 Long-term care physicians. Join our team today!
