A leading community organization is seeking a Foster Care Support Worker to provide crucial support, guidance, and supervision of foster parents. This position involves working in a challenging environment, assisting families in need while ensuring adherence to legislative and regulatory frameworks. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Human Services and relevant experience, alongside strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to advocate for vulnerable children and families.
The primary role of this position provides support, guidance, leadership and supervision of foster parents. This position also responds to complex queries and situations of the foster care program.
Capacity and professionalism to work in a high pressure, stressful atmosphere while assisting program staff and foster families. Job requires good working knowledge of the Child Intervention, Family Enhancement, Permanency Planning, Adoptions, Post-Adoption Support, Foster Care, Child Care Licensing and Family Support for Children with Disabilities programs. Responsible for ensuring legislation, regulations, policy, and procedures are followed.
Monday - Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm, plus additional hours when required for work or volunteerism
