Job Description
Reporting to the VP of Research and Development and working closely with the Senior Software Architect, the Delphi Software Developer will design, document, and code software modules within the core Connexall product suite, adhering to IEC 62304 SDLC, ISO-13485 QMS, and ISO 14971 risk management frameworks. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues in product management, software development, and QA teams at GlobeStar Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze new product requirements, create design documentation, and perform coding and testing of software solutions
• Maintain development documentation aligned with GlobeStar's ISO-13485 quality management system
• Assist QA with test case development and bug tracking
• Develop graphical end-user applications and tools
• Ensure proper integration of new features/modules into the existing system
• Collaborate with team members to meet company goals
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of client issues with Technical Support and Implementation teams
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Recent experience with Embarcadero Delphi (Delphi 2007 or newer), including code migration from ANSI to Unicode
• Experience with SQL databases, preferably DBISAM or MS-SQL
• Strong skills in Windows desktop and server application development, including GUI applications
• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle process
• Experience with source control tools and formal software management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Self-motivated, curious, and passionate about technology
• Ability to work independently or in small teams
• Effective collaboration with clients and internal teams
• Ability to work with limited supervision
Work Conditions:
9:00am – 5:00pm EST, Monday to Friday
Additional Assets (Nice to Have):
• Experience in the medical device or life sciences industries
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971
• Experience with peripheral development, e.g., serial communications
