Job Description

St. Mary’s Academy is accepting applications for an experienced High School Spanish teacher. This is a part-time, 10-month, exempt position reporting to the high school principal, beginning in August 2025. Through engaging instruction, real-world applications, collaborative work, and hands-on learning, the teacher fosters confidence and curiosity.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Teach two 80-90-minute block classes per semester.
  • Serve as grade-level advisor and club sponsor.
  • Attend and participate in school activities / events.

Qualifications / Requirements

Fluency in Spanish

3+ years of teaching experience preferred

Bachelor’s degree in modern languages with an emphasis in Spanish or a related field

Commitment to employing a positive mindset to teaching with student-centric pedagogy

A willingness to build and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and parents

Salary / Benefits

The salary range for this part-time (70%) exempt position is $38,500 - $47,600 and includes benefits. St. Mary’s Academy provides excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and life insurance, retirement, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
