Summary of Duties

Reporting to the Manager of Capital Delivery, the Project Manager will oversee the implementation and management of QA/QC, Health & Safety programs, and project management duties within Hamilton Water's Planning and Capital Team. Responsibilities include designing and managing systems for SOPs, operational plans, training, and certification tracking; delivering staff training; ensuring compliance with accreditation standards; and supporting efficiency improvements.

The role involves managing water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects, providing leadership, conducting audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing training programs, preparing reports, liaising with stakeholders, and supervising consultants and staff.

Qualifications
  • Experience with quality, environmental, or health and safety management systems.
  • Degree in civil engineering, engineering technologist diploma, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices, project management, and contract management.
  • Experience with quality systems, accreditation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Understanding of health and safety legislation and training delivery.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Valid Class G driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
