Summary of Duties

Reporting to the Superintendent and/or Manager, this role manages operations & maintenance for various facilities, ensuring a healthy, productive, and safe environment across portfolios including corporate buildings, community facilities, long-term care, stadiums, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff and support programs through effective facility management and real estate services.
  • Oversee building maintenance, programs, safety, and health standards.
  • Manage budgets, coordinate technical staff, and represent the division in labor relations.
  • Research and implement new procedures, oversee projects, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Respond to emergencies, conduct safety training, and manage supplies and repairs.
  • Lead performance management, staffing, and after-hours duties.
  • Maintain documentation, prepare reports, and participate in strategic planning.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in facility management with a recognized FMP designation or trades qualification (e.g., 306A, 313A) and leadership training.
  • Knowledge of building systems, safety standards, and project supervision.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of codes, regulations, and safety acts.
  • Experience in multi-location union environments and pool management (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS systems.
  • Valid G driver's license and clear abstract required.
Additional Details
  • Salary Grade 5
  • 40 hours/week
  • Must adhere to health and safety policies and perform after-hours duties as needed.
