Sixense Solutions Canada Ltd. ("Sixense") is seeking a Job Cost Controller.

The Job Cost Controller supports the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions within Sixense.

This role contributes to the Company’s strategic and operational decision-making through the preparation of detailed budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, project financial performance analysis, and financial reporting assistance.

The Job Cost Controller works closely with the Managing Director, the Operations Manager, and Project Managers to ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial information that aligns with the Company’s objectives and project requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, cost control files, dashboards, and KPIs.
  2. Conducting variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
  3. Supporting consolidation of financial data from various project streams.
  4. Assisting in the preparation of presentations and financial packages for stakeholders.
  5. Participating in budget development and forecasting.
  6. Tracking performance against budgets and updating forecasts.
  7. Performing scenario modeling and analyses.
  8. Leading development and optimization of monitoring solutions.
  9. Collaborating with Project Managers on project budgets, revenue recognition, and cost tracking.
  10. Supporting financial onboarding of new projects, including cash flow and risk analyses.
  11. Assisting with client invoices and revenue tracking.
  12. Reviewing purchase orders and receipting flows monthly.
  13. Enhancing financial reporting tools and automating processes.
  14. Improving workflows, accuracy, and transparency.
  15. Ensuring compliance with financial policies and supporting audits.
  16. Aligning reporting practices with Vinci Group standards.
  17. Participating in meetings to present financial insights.
  18. Staying informed on industry trends.
  19. Supporting year-end closing and liaising with auditors.

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Diploma/Degree in business with an accounting major preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and controls.
  • Minimum 3 years in the construction industry.
  • Ability to work directly with project teams.
  • Strong communication skills for financial information.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Excel; Oracle experience is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with organizational skills.
