We are looking to expand our development team. You will work as a Java developer to meet our clients' needs in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Participate in designing and developing projects, including new applications, new functionalities, bug fixing, and maintenance.
- Help define architecture based on needs analysis to meet client objectives.
- Define technical and functional specifications.
- Evaluate efforts for new solutions or improvements.
- Deploy solutions into production and manage updates.
- Assist in pre-sales efforts such as effort estimation and technology analysis.
- Ensure high development standards through code reviews, testing, and following the software development cycle.
- Support continuous improvement in development practices, including agility and automation.
- Mentor junior colleagues and support team collaboration.
- Stay updated on new technologies and solutions.
- Work within Agile Scrum teams.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- At least 6 years of Java development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java OOP and Spring Boot framework.
- Experience with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or VueJS.
- Solid relational database skills (Hibernate, SQL, ETL); NoSQL knowledge is a plus.
- Basic understanding of DevOps concepts; Azure DevOps experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of other programming languages such as C#, PHP, Node.js, Python.
- Experience working in Agile and collaborative environments.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments.
- Proficiency in English and French communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Good interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation.
