Job description

Java Software Developer: Procom KW is seeking an intermediate level Java Software Developer for a long-term contract role with one of our clients in the manufacturing sector.

As a Java Software Developer, you will work with the Admin Systems Applications Team, focusing on supporting existing custom solutions for internal customers. You will enhance and improve existing applications as well as develop new functionalities.

The main responsibilities include completing function enhancements for various applications identified by business owners and performing technology uplift activities.

Java Software Developer Must Have Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Software Developer
• Experience with system design, business analysis, testing, and database design
• Experience designing web-based applications using common JEE design patterns (MVC, MVVM, Façade)
• Development experience with Angular (2+), Spring REST, POJO on JBOSS EAP 7.2
• Proficiency with developer tools such as MyEclipse and SQL Developer
• Knowledge of backend databases: Oracle 11g/12c (PL/SQL) and Postgres
• Ability to provide work estimates, test plans, deployment procedures, and documentation
• Experience supporting end-user issues directly and eliciting new requirements
• Strong oral and written communication skills

Nice to Have Skills

• Advanced knowledge of Angular and Cordova platforms
• Experience with data modeling and database design
