Job summary

Synechron seeks a Java Database Developer with strong Java, SQL, Snowflake, and Data Engineering skills to design, develop and optimize database solutions. You will build ETL/ELT processes, implement scalable data models, and develop REST APIs to interact with Snowflake and other databases.

The role involves collaborating with Data Engineers and Business Analysts in a flexible hybrid setup, focusing on data-driven modernization for financial services clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• Experience with Snowflake architecture, virtual warehouses and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Exposure to big data tech like Spark or Kafka.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain database-driven apps using Java.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures and data pipelines.
• Build and manage ETL/ELT for Snowflake data ingestion.
• Design scalable data models, schemas, and database solutions.
• Develop REST APIs and backend services to interact with Snowflake.
• Monitor Snowflake performance, storage, and queries.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, BAs, and app teams.
• Ensure data quality, security, governance and compliance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies.
