Job summary

Wissen Technology seeks an AVP/VP-level data developer to design and enhance scalable data delivery for regulatory and analytics needs. The role focuses on building a real-time data mart for ISG deposits and supporting downstream interfaces with a globally distributed team.

You will implement SQL, ETL and reporting components, leveraging Informatica or Python Pandas, while driving performance and data quality across multiple regulatory reports.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Java/Scala development experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Unix shell scripting.
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle and investment banking data flows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimize the SQL projection broker in the DAL for Leto deposits for performance and scalability.
• Develop real-time reporting infrastructure; capture upstream messages, persist to NFS, and map attributes to database tables.
• Enhance regulatory and business reports for Leto deposits.
• Translate business requirements into efficient SQL queries and reporting outputs.
• Develop database and ETL components, including stored procedures and performance tuning using SQL and ETL tools.
• Create robust testing automation for Java/Scala/Python processes.

Position Description

This is an application developer role in the team responsible for developing the firm's strategic data mart for ISG deposit. The data will be sourced from the golden source, the DAL and fed into our data mart in real time, and subsequently provided through a consolidated interface for downstream systems. The candidate will help build scalable, high‑performance database components for regulatory, business analytics, and operational risk reporting for Leto deposits and OTC derivatives, collaborating with a globally distributed team on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build and enhance the SQL projection broker in the DAL for Leto deposits with good performance and scalability.
• Build and enhance the real‑time reporting infrastructure that captures upstream messages, persists onto NFS storage, and shreds attributes into database tables.
• Enhance and support multiple regulatory and business reports for Leto deposits.
• Translate business requirements into queries against relational tables and produce reporting outputs.
• Develop database and ETL components, including stored procedures, queries and performance tuning, using SQL and ETL tools such as Informatica or Python Pandas.
• Create efficient testing automation for Java/Scala/Python processes.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Java or Scala (or other programming languages) with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Unix / K‑Shell.
• Knowledge of the lifecycle of a trade and data flows in an investment banking operation is a plus.
• Experience with Agile development processes.
• Knowledge of relational databases is a big plus.
• Good team player with integrity and ownership.
