A Montreal-based company is seeking a Java Full Stack Systems Developer to design, develop, integrate, and support enterprise applications. The role requires strong hands-on experience with Java, web technologies, databases, and microservices, plus collaboration with global teams and business stakeholders.

You will build RESTful APIs, microservices, and web apps; participate in design discussions; and ensure code quality, testing, and deployment across the SDLC.

The role requires strong hands‑on experience with Java, modern web technologies, relational databases, and microservices, along with the ability to collaborate with global teams and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Des ign and develop high-quality Java applications in a multi-tier enterprise environment.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and web-based applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and global development teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Develop proofs of concept to evaluate new technologies and frameworks.
• Participate in technical design and architectural discussions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and improve application stability.
• Support the complete SDLC, including design, development, testing, deployment, and post‑release support.
• Develop clean, reusable, well‑tested, and maintainable code aligned with enterprise standards.

Required Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with Java 11+, RESTful APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, Gradle or Maven, and enterprise microservices.
• Strong front‑end development experience with React or Angular.
• Strong RDBMS and SQL skills, preferably PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, or DB2.
• Experience with Kubernetes and modern microservices architectures.
• Development experience with Python and Unix/Bash scripting.
• Experience with JUnit, Git‑based workflows, CI/CD, and tools such as Jenkins.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TDD or BDD methodologies.
• Experience with enterprise architecture standards and integration patterns.
