Job summary

Quanteam, founded as part of Rainbow Partners, is seeking a Java Developer for a client in Montreal’s investment banking sector. You will drive DevOps efforts, build CI/CD pipelines, deploy containerized infrastructure with Docker/Kubernetes, and collaborate with analysts to refine requirements and deliver robust financial software.

You should have 4+ years of experience, a CS degree, strong communication, and be bilingual in English and French.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong ability to work with complex information systems.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and methodical approach.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong team-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in Java, Angular, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL Server, GitHub, Jenkins, and Docker.
• Bilingual (English and French).

Responsibilities

• DevOps scope: CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance, containerized infrastructure deployment using Docker and Kubernetes, and automation through GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Analyze, estimate, and refine user stories within the Equity Finance Trading Systems domain.
• Evaluate and recommend technical and non-technical solutions with timelines.
• Collaborate with business analysts and end users to gather requirements and obtain approvals.
• Develop code, deployment plans, and technical upgrades following standards.
• Coordinate with users to define test plans and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in testing activities, document results, and review outcomes with end users.
• Contribute to large-scale software implementations, including quarterly releases and new functionality deployments.
• Develop and implement internal user reports and data extracts upon request.
