Qualifications

We're seeking someone to join our Snipers team as a Java Developer – Research & Risk Analytics in ESTAR to develop Front Office Market Risk & Research platform based on Swing/JavaFX.

This is a Software Engineering position at Vice-President level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you’ll do in the role:
  • Act as a Senior developer on front office Research & Risk Analytics Platform.
  • Be responsible for understanding business/technology requirements and integrate with existing systems and analytics library.
  • Build & Enhance on Rich UI platform on Java FX & Swing
  • Be involved both in strategic system renovation as well as day-to-day system enhancement, close & continuous interaction with trading, quant & and other technology groups.
What you’ll bring to the role:
  • At least 6 years of Industry experience with 3+ years in trading/quantitative software development.
  • Strong Core Java knowledge which you will use daily
  • Strong understanding of multi-threading preferably with Java FX/Swing
  • Familiarity with Linux preferably with a scripting language (Python, Shell)
  • Excellent computer science & mathematical skills
  • Strong interest in equity derivatives pricing and risk management.
  • Experience in financial markets and understanding of some quantitative modeling would be highly beneficial
  • Nice to have Q/KDB experience.
