Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related.
  • Minimum 3 years in enterprise apps in finance ops, treasury, risk, or capital markets context.
  • Experience with secure, reliable, scalable cloud architectures and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, develop, and implement enhancements and modernization initiatives.
  • Support data integration, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting for Findur-related systems.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions, promote best practices.
  • Provide second-line application support for complex technical issues.
  • Leverage and enhance automation and modernization frameworks for Findur.

Responsabilities
  • Analyze, design, develop, and implement application enhancements and modernization initiatives, including technology upgrades, system integrations, and cloud-based solutions, to meet business and regulatory requirements ;
  • Support and enhance data integration, transformation, reconciliation, and reporting solutions related to the Findur application and associated upstream and downstream systems ;
  • Perform technical and root-cause analysis on issues and recommend and implement appropriate corrective actions ;
  • Apply and promote development best practices such as test-driven development and DevOps ;
  • Provide second-line application support, including the investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex technical issues ;
  • Leverage, maintain and enhance existing automation and modernization frameworks supporting the Findur application ;
  • Related activities and deliverable, as required.
Qualifications
Education and Certifications
  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Relevant Experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with enterprise applications related to financial operations, treasury, risk management, or capital markets, including the implementation of application enhancements, system integrations, configurations, or technology upgrades.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting applications with high requirements for criticality, availability, reliability, and security.
Technical Skills
  • Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in Java application development using the Eclipse IDE development environment.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) and strong SQL proficiency, preferably with Oracle.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, configuration, customization, integration, and support of Java applications within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud solution architectures within an enterprise environment, including application integration, security controls, and governance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience working within Agile delivery environments and applying DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design, execution, and support of performance testing activities, including the identification, analysis, and resolution of application performance bottlenecks.
  • Demonstrated experience with financial applications and systems, as well as data warehouse technologies, including data modeling, data integration, data transformation, reconciliation, and reporting solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, as the position is based in Ottawa.

The resource must be eligible to obtain a Secret Security Clearance, which requires a minimum of ten (10) years of verifiable personal history.
