Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer with a strong background in investment banking to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing Java-based applications and systems that support our investment banking operations. This role requires in-depth knowledge of financial instruments, trading, and risk management, as well as proficiency in Java programming.

Key Responsibilities :

• Software Development : Design, develop, test, and deploy high-performance Java applications for various investment banking functions, including trading platforms, risk management systems, and data analytics tools.
• Domain Expertise : Utilize your expertise in investment banking to understand and implement solutions that align with industry standards and regulations. Stay updated on market trends and evolving technologies.
• Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traders, quants, risk managers, and other developers, to gather requirements and develop innovative solutions.
• Performance Optimization : Continuously optimize and enhance the performance of existing systems, ensuring they meet the demands of a fast-paced investment banking environment.
• Code Review : Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, improve team collaboration, and ensure best practices are followed.
• Problem Solving : Identify and address complex technical challenges related to trading, data processing, and risk management.
• Documentation : Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for developed systems and applications.
• Testing and Quality Assurance : Perform thorough testing of software to ensure it meets high-quality standards and is free from defects.
• Compliance and Security : Ensure that all software and applications adhere to industry-specific compliance and security standards, including data protection and confidentiality.
• Support and Maintenance : Provide ongoing support and maintenance for developed applications, promptly addressing any issues that may arise.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Developer with a focus on investment banking.
• Strong knowledge of investment banking processes, financial instruments, trading, and risk management.
• Proficiency in Java programming and experience with relevant frameworks and libraries.
• Understanding of financial industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of database systems, SQL, and data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with version control systems and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in Java programming, financial modeling, or risk management are desirable.
