Job summary

JobCubby is seeking a Java Developer for a fully remote role based in Toronto, Ontario. You will design and implement Java applications and backend services, build RESTful APIs and microservices with Spring Boot, and ensure clean, scalable, and maintainable code.

The ideal candidate has 3 to 9 years of Java experience, strong Java 8/11/17 knowledge, and hands-on work with SQL, Hibernate/JPA, Git, Maven/Gradle, and JUnit.

Qualifications

• 3 to 9 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17 or newer.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Experience with REST APIs and Microservices.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience with Git and Maven or Gradle.
• Experience with JUnit and automated testing.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Agile/Scrum experience is a plus.
