About the Role

We are seeking a talented Java Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Kafka streaming and AWS cloud services to join our growing team at Samay Consulting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse client projects while also contributing to cutting-edge internal initiatives, including prototyping AI-powered code generation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust backend systems using Java and Spring Boot Framework
• Implement and maintain Kafka streaming solutions for high-throughput data processing
• Build and deploy scalable applications on AWS infrastructure
• Deliver high-quality solutions for client projects across various industries
• Participate in internal R&D initiatives focused on leveraging AI for automated code generation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies across all levels of the application stack

Required Technical Skills

• Object-oriented languages - Java
• Recent experience with Amazon Web Services (Amazon Aurora, S3, EC2, Lambda)
• Recent experience with Java, Java Spring Boot Framework, Containerization(K8s/Docker)
• Experience with RESTful architecture and micro-services
• Test automation experience at all levels (Unit, Integration, Regression, Load)
• Familiarity with modern infrastructure tools and pipelines (Gitlab CI/CD, Terraform)
• Familiarity with ops tools, logging, and metrics (New Relic, Splunk, CloudWatch)
• Experience with messaging technologies and patterns (Kafka/SQS)
• Experience with event sourcing patterns is a plus
• Experience in the Retail, Finance domain is a plus
