Job summary

Tekshapers seeks a senior Java developer in Mississauga to design, build, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data. You will integrate with MongoDB, SQL, and Kafka to deliver scalable, high-performance enterprise systems.

You will collaborate with Analysts, Architects, QA, and DevOps to ensure secure, reliable deployments, implement REST APIs, and optimize queries for transactional and reporting needs.

Qualifications

• 9–12 years of overall experience with Java-based microservices.
• Strong hands-on with Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data.
• Experience with MongoDB and SQL query optimization.
• Familiarity with Kafka and REST-based integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java based microservices.
• Implement RESTful APIs adhering to enterprise design standards.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for transactional and reporting use cases.
• Design and manage MongoDB schemas, indexes, and queries.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of microservices.
• Apply exception handling, logging, monitoring, and resiliency patterns.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and defect resolution.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and production issues.
• Follow secure coding and compliance standards.
