Position: Head Barista

Otto's Cache is Jasper's first locally owned café, bakery, and curated provisions market. Serving inspiration from Australian specialty cafe culture, European style bakeries, mixed with Italian inspired sandwiches made possible by local Canadian suppliers. The café focuses on both dine-in and take-away offerings, serving specialty coffee, fresh baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and market provisions.

We’re looking for a Head Barista to join the café's leadership team, brewing delicious coffee with a focus on leading a passionate barista team and delivering a fun and engaging customer experience.

We need you to:

• Have a passion for specialty coffee and customer service
• Have 2+ years experience in a senior barista role, ideally brewing specialty coffee
• Possess high-quality barista skills and knowledge (latte art, dialling in, troubleshooting, etc.)
• Have a strong work ethic with a customer-focused attitude
• Maintain a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor
• Engage with staff and customers about our coffee, menu, and brand
• Work in a fast-paced café environment
• Multi-task, prioritize, and communicate effectively
• Provide feedback and coaching to baristas to improve their performance
• Handle customer complaints and queries in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the café
• Monitor inventory of café supplies, equipment, and accessories
• Manage inventory, cash flow, and daily reports
