Job summary

ATCO in Edmonton is seeking an ambitious undergraduate co-op student for an 8‑month assignment starting January 2027. You will participate in process improvements, support engineering and metering projects, and help refine internal tools using PowerApps and Microsoft Automate.

You will analyze metering and billing data, use Excel and Power BI for reporting, and gain mentorship while relocating support is provided by ATCO.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate co-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian university.
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication using appropriate technical vocabulary.
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support initiatives to improve business processes and policy in project management and engineering execution.
  • Support improvements to internal calculators and tools used by metering and billing groups.
  • Utilize software such as Microsoft Automate and PowerApps to support application development projects.
  • Extract, analyze, and reconcile metering and billing data from various systems to inform business decisions.
  • Use Excel and Power BI for data management, modeling, analysis, and reporting.
