Minodahmun Development has partnered with Outland-Horizon North – A Division of Dexterra to deliver various site services at the Greenstone Project. Based in Thunder Bay, Outland-Horizon North has over 25 years’ experience working with First Nation partners to deliver camp, modular building, catering and maintenance services both locally and across the country.

WHAT'S THE JOB?

The Janitorial Maintenance Technician role with Outland-Horizon North at Greenstone Gold Mines includes maintaining the overall cleanliness and sanitization of the site common areas to ensure a safe and orderly work environment.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conformity to site and job specific safety standards and requirements
• Empty trash containers and dispose of collected debris in designated locations
• Sweeping and mopping of floors
• Preparation of cleaning solutions and clean all surfaces throughout the site
• Cleaning and restocking of restrooms
• Touch point sanitization

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Ability to work a 1 week on/1 week off rotation in a camp setting
• You are a motivated self-starter with an eye for detail with the ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Valid G Class driver’s license with clean abstract and personal vehicle is a strong asset
• Previous janitorial or housekeeping experience an asset, but not required
• Dedicated to job safety and quality standards
• Familiar with basic technology use (email, accessing online training, etc.)
• Be able to handle the following physical demands:
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
  • Climb ladders or stairs
  • Stand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended lengths of time
  • Perform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both hands
  • Perform work with arms at full length
  • Work with arms above shoulder height

Work Schedule and Remuneration:

Janitorial Maintenance Technicians work rotational schedules of 1 week on/1 week off. You may be required to work weekdays, weekends and general holidays.

Wages are paid on an hourly basis with a starting rate of $22.00. Specific pay details are discussed at the interview phase. Transportation to and from the site and accommodations are provided.
