The Salvation Army in Richmond, BC is hiring a Casual Janitor to maintain the cleanliness of our facility and grounds. You will perform routine cleaning, restock supplies, and ensure building security while adhering to safety guidelines.
This role requires up to three months of related cleaning experience, WHMIS training, and First Aid/CPR. The position emphasizes a safe, respectful environment and adherence to organization policies.

The Janitor maintains the cleanliness of the facility, property and or grounds in compliance with applicable standards.
This is a Casual Position. The performance of the job requires frequently operating industrial cleaning equipment and tools, mopping/sweeping, bending/twisting/lifting, shovelling snow etc. The performance of the job requires moderate to high attention when using motorized equipment, handling hazardous chemicals, and using non-motorized equipment and general cleaning. The incumbent’s work environment is typically in the entire facility and surrounding property designated. The incumbent will work under the following disagreeable conditions:

The target hiring range for this position is $20.59 to $20.84 with a maximum of $21.09. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
