Job summary

Canlan Sports is seeking a proactive janitor to perform janitorial and minor maintenance tasks at our Toronto-area sports complex. The role focuses on cleaning, upkeep, and basic repairs, with responsibilities including restrooms, floors, windows, and parking lot care.

The position requires availability from 12:00am to 8:00am and flexibility for evenings and weekends. A Building Service Worker Certificate (BC) is preferred, with prior commercial janitorial experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• Completed high school education or equivalent is an asset
• Valid driver’s license an asset
• Building Service Worker Certificate (BC)
• Previous experience as a commercial buildings janitor (preferred)
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends and call outs)
• Approachable and team orientated with great communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must be available from 12:00am - 8:00am

Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes
• Ensure entrances, grounds, and parking lot are kept clean, clear and safe including: property & grounds cleanup and grass cutting
• Seasonal snow and debris removal
• Maintain checklists, records and reports (cleanliness and maintenance)
• Perform vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing and buffing per floor care procedures
• Assist with minor maintenance and ice maintenance during peak periods or short staffing

Job Summary

We are currently looking for a pro-active janitor that is a hands-on individual who will perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties to ensure the overall upkeep of the sports complex and surrounding grounds. Their primary responsibilities include cleaning and performing small repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes
• Ensure that entrances, grounds, and parking lot are kept clean, clear and safe including:
• Property & grounds cleanup
• Grass cutting and edging
• Seasonal snow and debris removal
• Maintain appropriate checklists, records and reports with respect to:
• Change room cleanliness
• Window cleanliness
• Washroom cleaning checklist
• Shower cleaning checklist
• Parking lot & property cleaning checklist
• Perform vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures
• Assist with minor maintenance as required
• Assist in Ice Maintenance during peak periods, short staffing or as required

Education And Knowledge Requirements
