Reporting to the janitorial manager, this position involves janitorial duties at remote northern sites, such as mining facilities and exploration camps, performed according to contract standards & specifications.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors.
• Dust furniture, vacuum carpets and rugs.
• Clean and sanitize all assigned areas.
• Collect garbage.
• Clean office complexes and other buildings.
• Follow ACLP policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Things to consider:

• Requires shift work at remote mining facilities & exploration camps.
• Must be able to work compressed workweeks.
• Must be a team player, working well with others.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work quickly, thoroughly, and with attention to detail.
• Grade 10 education is an asset.
• One year of janitorial experience preferred.
• A combination of education & experience will be considered.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid first aid certificate.
• Knowledge of safety procedures with hazardous products, including WHMIS.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships.
• Physically capable of performing duties.
• A valid Class 5 Driver's License and acceptable driver’s abstract are preferred.
