Janitor

Job Title: Full-Time Janitorial Position - Apartment Building Cleaning

Compensation: $17.20 - $18.00 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-Time Janitor for an apartment building. This is a crucial position that ensures the property remains clean, safe, and well-maintained for its residents.

Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning and Maintenance:
   1. Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors.
   2. Waxing and maintaining the floor finishes as needed.
   3. Sanitizing restrooms, including cleaning toilets, sinks, mirrors, and restocking necessary supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
   4. Dusting furniture, cleaning windows, walls, and glass surfaces.
   5. Wiping down counters, desks, and other surfaces to maintain a clean environment.
2. Floor Care:
   1. Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
3. Stocking Supplies:
   1. Restocking cleaning supplies and other necessary items to ensure all areas are equipped.
4. Waste Management:
   1. Emptying trash and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal practices.
5. Safety:
   1. Maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents, ensuring that all areas are hazard-free.
   2. Reporting any maintenance issues or needed repairs to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
6. Spill Cleanup:
   1. Addressing spills or other hazards promptly and effectively to prevent accidents.
7. Following Instructions:
   1. Adhering to established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistency and quality.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in janitorial work or cleaning (preferred but not required).
2. Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
3. Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
4. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours if needed.
5. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving supplies.
6. Must be able to work safely and handle cleaning chemicals as instructed.
