Job summary

Farm Boy is hiring a dedicated team member to help create a clean, welcoming, and safe shopping environment. You’ll support customers and teammates by maintaining shared spaces and contributing to a positive in-store experience.

Key duties include friendly assistance, general housekeeping, stocking, and following Health & Safety guidelines. Flexibility with evenings, weekends, and holidays is required; bilingual English/French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Passion for delivering engaging customer service.
• Janitorial/cleaning experience in a food retail environment is an asset.
• Ability to work independently with high-quality results and cleanliness standards.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and engaging customer service that supports Farm Boy’s commitment to the best fresh shopping experience.
• Welcome, greet, and assist customers using Farm Boy Service Standards as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work and storage areas through general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Ensure all shared and team member spaces are well maintained, including eating areas, washrooms, and locker rooms.
• Assist with inventory tracking and purchasing of store supplies as requested.
• Follow all corporate policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and proper equipment use.
• Complete designated opening and closing procedures and support fellow Team Members as needed.
• Take on additional responsibilities on a periodic basis to support overall store operations.

• Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, repetitive movement, use of protective equipment or clothing, exposure to environmental elements (noise, dirt, dust), and work that may be performed in colder environments.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
