JOB LOCATION

This is an ON-SITE position located in Staples, Ontario

COMPENSATION

$17.00 - $22.00 / hour, Non-Exempt

ABOUT THE ROLE

The janitor is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of Sensei's facility. The role plays a crucial part in food safety of our products as well as creating a safe and pleasant environment for our staff and visitors.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Clean and sanitize lunchrooms and restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors in offices, greenhouse and packing areas.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, windows, windowsills, and furniture.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Restock restroom and lunchroom supplies as needed.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning and janitorial supplies.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines for handling cleaning chemicals.
• Adhere to regular Food Safety established cleaning schedule to maintain a clean and organized environment.
• Work in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety, Health and Safety, and all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by company management.
  
  

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEED

• Willingness to learn and grow in the position; able to work independently but also a good team player.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work on weekends/after hours, a must.
• Comfortable working in greenhouse and packing environment (warm/cold environments).
• Work is physically demanding. Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 15-25 lbs. regularly.
